There are perfumes you seek out and choose, and then there are perfumes that quietly tiptoe into your life and completely shake you up<\/b>. Late Bloom<\/i>, by Matthew Chang, belongs to the latter category for me. It arrived in an Easter 2025 beauty box that I purchased from a Korean cosmetics website. I never expected to discover one of my all-time favorite perfumes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The notes listed on the official website are: Red Apple, Rose Garden Accord with Pink Rose Petals & Green Leaves, Ambrette Seeds and White Musk<\/b>. As usual, the fragrance pyramid is quite minimal and doesn\u2019t fully capture the perfume itself, but there\u2019s a beautiful story on the product page<\/strong><\/a>:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nel cuore di un giardino inondato di sole, una mela rosso brillante pende dalla punta di un ramo. Poco pi\u00f9 in l\u00e0, una delicata rosa \u00e8 in piena fioritura e diffonde nell\u2019aria il suo profumo dolce e fresco. Tra i suoi petali si intravedono foglie verdi accarezzate dalla rugiada, luminose e piene di vita. Al passaggio di una brezza tiepida, ogni profumo del giardino si fonde in un\u2019unica, delicata armonia. E proprio in questo intreccio iniziano a schiudersi leggere e gentili sfumature di rosa.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I imagine myself walking through this blooming garden early in the morning. Beneath my feet, I can feel the coolness of the dew<\/strong>, while tiny droplets slide down the petals of a beautiful freshly bloomed rose<\/strong>. I lean closer to breathe in its scent, and my face is touched by this floral potion. A few branches away, that apple<\/strong> looks glossy and cold, a vivid, luminous red. I can almost sense its crispness<\/strong> just by looking at it: perfectly ripe, yet not the slightest bit mealy; its flesh is firm and incredibly juicy<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What strikes me most about Late Bloom<\/i> is that it always remains somehow \u201cliquid<\/strong>\u201d: not in texture, but in the way it feels to the nose. It never seems to fully dry down, lingering on the skin just like dew<\/strong> and leaving behind a feeling of freshness and cleanliness<\/strong>. Don\u2019t picture the typical \u201cfresh laundry drying in the sun\u201d kind of scent: there\u2019s none of that dryness here. Instead, it feels like pure, scented water that doesn\u2019t envelop the skin, but gently caresses it<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Late Bloom<\/i>\u2019s packaging is adorable and incredibly delicate: the simple transparent glass bottle, with its beautifully proportioned label<\/strong>, is topped with a white spherical cap<\/strong> and a gold collar<\/strong> that echoes the lettering of the perfume\u2019s name.<\/p>

It\u2019s far from ordinary packaging; it says much more about itself than many others do. You don\u2019t need fireworks to stand out \u2014 sometimes, all you need is to be simply yourself<\/b>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Recently, I came across a TikTok video by the brand\u2019s owner in which someone asked him what makes his fragrances different from others. Matthew explains \u2014 I\u2019m paraphrasing his message here, and I recommend watching the full video on TikTok by clicking here<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 that perfume isn\u2019t just a way to stand out or be noticed by others, but a small personal ritual<\/strong>, an intimate gesture<\/strong> that can make even an ordinary moment feel special. Wearing a fragrance means giving yourself something just for you, romanticizing your own life and rediscovering beauty in the little things<\/strong>. A perfume may attract compliments and leave an impression, but first and foremost, it should make us feel good<\/strong>, evoke emotions<\/strong>, and express something deeply personal<\/strong>, because every fragrance takes on a different meaning for each of us.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I find this idea incredibly interesting, and whenever I smell Late Bloom<\/em>, I can only confirm that this is exactly how I feel when I wear it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
